2.1. Information You Provide to Us

When you create an account or use our Services, we collect the following personal information:

  • Username, Email, and Phone Number: To create and manage your account, identify you, and communicate with you about your tickets and our Services.
  • Password: We collect your password to secure your account. Passwords are never stored in plain text; they are always encrypted using strong, one-way hashing algorithms.
  • Address: We may collect your address for billing verification and to provide location-based event recommendations.

2.2. Information from Third Parties (Irembo Pay)

When you make a payment for a ticket, you will be directed to our third-party payment processor, Irembo Pay. We do not collect or store your full credit card number or financial details. The transaction is processed by Irembo Pay, and you are subject to their Privacy Policy. We may receive transaction confirmation data from them, such as the purchase amount and time, to confirm your ticket purchase.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Services.
  • Create and manage your account and process your transactions.
  • Send you tickets, confirmations, and customer service communications.
  • Communicate with you about event updates, promotions, and other news (you can opt-out of marketing communications).
  • Improve and personalize the App by understanding how users interact with it.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following limited circumstances:

  • Event Organizers: When you purchase a ticket, we may share necessary information (such as your name) with the Event Organizer to allow them to validate your ticket and manage event entry.
  • Payment Processors: As stated, we share transaction information with Irembo Pay to process your payments.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities in Rwanda.

5. Data Security

We implement a variety of technical and organizational security measures to protect the safety of your personal information. We use encryption (such as SSL) and secure servers. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
